| Biographies JUDGE JAMES G. CARR James G. Carr is the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He was appointed as a District Judge by President Clinton in 1994. From 1979 until his appointment as a District Judge, he was a United States Magistrate Judge. From 1970-79 he was a member of the law faculty at the University of Toledo. From 1966, following his graduation from Harvard Law School, until 1970, he practiced law in Chicago, and Evanston, Illinois. Judge Carr also currently serves as a member of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. He is a member of the Ohio State and Toledo Bar Associations, of which he is a past President
Gabrielle A. Finnan, Account Manager for Electronic Evidence Discovery, Inc., has over ten years of experience supporting the business, information, technology and litigation support needs of large, global law firms. As a successful Account Manager, Gabrielle focuses on developing new eDiscovery engagements with large, international law firms as well as identifying ways to provide customized support programs specifically developed for the needs of each of these unique law firms. Prior to joining EED, Gabrielle was with LexisNexis for ten years. She began her career with LexisNexis in 1996 as an Applications Consultant to regional Ohio law firms. She moved into various sales consulting positions supporting these regional firms until 2001. From 2001 – 2006 she worked with select AmLaw 100 law firms headquartered in Cleveland and Chicago as a National Account Manager providing full service support for the products, services and applications in the LexisNexis portfolio. Gabrielle earned her J.D. in December, 1994 from The Cleveland Marshall College of Law. She was admitted to practice law in Ohio in May 1995. Her practice focused on criminal law, workers’ compensation and employment discrimination. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1989 with a B.A. in English. Gabrielle resides in Cleveland, Ohio and travels to support key clients in Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville, Indianapolis and Chicago. She is the mother of two active boys, Michael and Daniel, eight and five years old respectively. When she is not working, she is chasing after the boys trying to keep up with them. JANET E. HALES Ms. Hales is a shareholder at Cooper & Walinski in Toledo, Ohio. She practices in the areas of general civil litigation, fair housing, and national litigation management. She has spoken on fair housing topics at conferences sponsored by the Ohio and Indiana Civil Rights Commissions, the National Fair Housing Alliance, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and numerous other organizations. Most recently, Hales has addressed the developing law on the discovery and use of electronic evidence in lawsuits at seminars sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Cleveland, the Toledo Bar Association, the Ohio Health Care Association, and the firm's clients. Before joining Cooper & Walinski in 1994, Ms. Hales served as law clerk to the Hon. Barbara K. Hackett, United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Hales received her Bachelor of Education degree from Bowling Green State University in 1981. She received her law degree from The University of Toledo College of Law in 1991 where she was an Editor on The University of Toledo Law Review. She is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Ohio and Michigan, and in the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. MARGARET LOCKHART Margaret Lockhart practices in the areas of labor and employment law, commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and school law. She is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in employment and labor law. She has tried cases in both state and federal courts and before state and federal administrative agencies. Margaret also handles labor negotiations, arbitrations, policy and handbook reviews, and supervisor training for private and public sector employers. She served for ten years as a Judge pro tem of the Perrysburg Municipal Court. Margaret lectures frequently on labor and employment law topics. Margaret is active in the Ohio State Bar Association. She has served on the Board of Governors of the Association's Labor Section and on the Association's Sexual Harassment Task Force. Before joining the firm, Margaret served as law clerk to the Hon. Robert E. DeMascio, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in 1982 and received her law degree magna cum laude from Rutgers University Law School in 1986.
